Attorney Lauren Bates
Lauren is a California attorney who devotes her entire practice to adoption and dependency cases. After spending many years representing and advising corporations in litigation, she found her true calling as an adoption lawyer after adopting her two children.
Lauren started this practice with the goal of helping other adoptive parents through the legal portion of the adoption process. As both an adoptive parent and adoption attorney, she is truly passionate about adoption and is always honored to walk alongside clients through their own adoption process. In addition to representing adoptive parents, Lauren occasionally has the privilege of representing expectant/birth parents and enjoys the opportunity to provide thorough counsel and advice to ensure everyone is well informed about the legal process.
Lauren also represents clients pursuing stepparent adoptions, relative adoptions, and adult adoptions in California. Regardless of the type of adoption she is handling, Lauren believes that adoptions should be child-centered to ensure that decisions made throughout the process are all made with consideration of the adoptee’s best interest in the long-term.
